IMDB rating: 5.70 Plot: Glen Canyon, Arizona, the present day. Wayne, practising at night in the desert for his upcoming fireman’s exam, witnesses the impact of a meteorite. The next day, biology teacher Dr. Ira Kane and geology teacher Harry Block from Glen Canyon Community College manage to get to the meteorite, which is stuck in the ground at the bottom of a cave. By taking a sample, they discover a slimy blue fluid coming out of the meteorite. A little later, Ira Kane finds out that myriads of single-celled life-forms dwell in the fluid, evolve at an incredible rate, even while he’s watching. What first seems like a sure ticket to Sweden for the Nobel Prize soon develops into a nightmare: By evolving and adapting at that unbelievably fast rate, the Aliens start spreading out, and the Military comes in. Now it all comes down to what Darwin so rightfully stated: Survival of the fittest. And no good idea in sight… |

What will happen when the theory of evolution becomes the LAW of evolution!?
Hell would freeze over.

Well u know what they say about laws…..they’re meant to be broken.
Guess all oR&S users ran out of a sense of humor.
Sylar (Where am I?) | Nov 19, 2009
Laws and theories are functionally different things in science. No amount of evidence can change one to the other.

We will know precisely what organisms we have evolved from and all the mechanics of evolution. But that is not humanly possible because obviously not all the fossil records are there… so we won’t be able to know ALL of the organisms we’ve evolved from…
But evolution DID happened.

then atheism will be the mainstream religion of the world
and us Christians will come into the Taliban
well that’s just a guess

Nothing.
It’s been shown to be a fact anyways. Does this bother you?
A Modest Proposal | Nov 19, 2009
doesn’t work that way. natural selection is the LAW that explains how the THEORY of evolution works. look up what the term "theory" means in scientific terms. totally different from the layman’s definition.
Shane | Nov 19, 2009
A scientific theory is HIGHER than a law!

The truth is. It can’t. But it’s a close as can be.

It won’t happen.
scrabbleaims | Nov 19, 2009
Nothing. I don’t think it can become a law since evolution is made up of laws.
Imma Eat Chu | Nov 19, 2009
Nothing, because it will never happen. The Anti-Christ will set up a one world religion first, using the False Prophet, and the Great Whore (a religious system). Those of you who have rejected Jesus Christ will take it’s mark, fall for Satan’s lies, and die in the Great Tribulation. HTH.
Tigerstar Expositor of Truth | Nov 19, 2009
Then, you have to obey it and change into another species on demand!
MoronFife | Nov 19, 2009
It means it would be proven completely right without loopholes or missing pieces, that’s why it’s still considered a theory, there are still somethings that need to be pr oven.
No such thing as god

LOL J/K. God doesnt exist
Baby Eating Atheist | Nov 19, 2009
after 200 years of ”free-thinking” you expect that?
Ca | Nov 19, 2009
Christian theory will evolve claiming the process could have happened without "magic" helping.
~DaD | Nov 19, 2009
Ummm….what do you expect? A sudden onslaught of instantaneous species evolution?
What will happen IF such a thing were to occur (almost certainly impossible in our lifetimes) is that the better science school text books would be changed. "Theory" would be deleted and "Law" inserted.

nothing. things will continue in the same way they always have.
rioteer28 | Nov 19, 2009
Is it really a surprise? It has come to my knowledge that so many people have accepted the simply fact that sometime in he past, our race were primitive and had to evolve to become the dominant specie we once were. You and i have seen the archaic bones, we have seen the giant craters that suggest an Armageddon, we have seen theories about how the multi verse and universe may have formed, so how is it so hard to beleive were were once all monkeys and before that, rodent-like mammals and even before that, simply prokaryotic organisms? You tell me.
Terris | Nov 19, 2009
There will actually be evidence that all living things descended from a single-cell organism.

It is my hope that humanity will never reach that level of being deceived.
johnnnyappleseed | Nov 19, 2009
It won’t happen. Many theories can’t be proved well enough to be laws. Like the theory of relativity. It is one of the most tested theories, but it remains a theory.
RB | Nov 19, 2009
There will have been found an animal somewhere that is half man and half ape, the missing link. Until then, it’s just a theory with no scientific basis to prove the theory.
Jimbo | Nov 19, 2009
I always like a positive attitude, even when there is no hope.
rayzinside | Nov 19, 2009
It won’t. It has to be accepted everywhere, and the Catholic Church won’t accept it. There will never, ever be any new scientific laws.
Joey | Nov 19, 2009
Science doesn’t work that way. Theories don’t grow up to be laws, they’re two completely different things.
Laws are simple statements that can often be expressed as mathematical formulas. Theories are explanations, telling how and why something happens. A theory never becomes a law. You can sometimes have, for example, the law of gravity and the theory of gravity, but they refer to two different aspects of gravity.
lainiebsky | Nov 19, 2009
well…i think the theory of gravity would have to become a law first before you even consider evolution as a law. And i believe that gravity is indeed still a theory.
Angie | Nov 19, 2009
Nothing will "happen". Evolution cannot be a "law". A law is a set of rules that is enforced by an institution. You cannot apply a man-made law to the "laws" or rules of nature. Nature has it’s own way- it’s own laws. It is important to distinguish the different meanings and types of law. The law that we follow (as in civil, federal) that is (in my case) dictated by the U.S. Government, is different from the laws of science.
"The laws of science are various established scientific laws, or physical laws as they are sometimes called, that are considered universal and invariable facts of the physical world. Laws of science may, however, be disproved if new facts or evidence contradicts them. A "law" differs from hypotheses, theories, postulates, principles, etc., in that a law is an analytic statement, usually with an empirically determined constant. A theory may contain a set of laws, or a theory may be implied from an empirically determined law." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_(princi ple)
Evolution is a theory, but it is also TRUE. That is why it is impossible to make an argument against evolution, though some people try. I mean, how can someone deny it? I strongly believe that people should question what we are taught and not just take it at face value, but people, scientists, have questioned evolution, and people have tried to disprove it. But there is so much evidence pointing towards the theory of evolution being true that anybody who denies it is just plain wrong. I think people should be free to believe what they want, but at least acknowledge the facts.
mischa425 | Nov 19, 2009
It doesn’t change the matter of fact that Christ is indeed the ONE TRUE GOD! rather you like it or not, rather you believe it or not. It is what it is. I will still believe a upon this one(Jesus) until I die!
Live It To The Full | Nov 19, 2009
A scientific theory is more complicated than a scientific law. It’s not a matter of degrees of certainty. The meaning of the word "theory" means something different in a scientific context than in the word "theory" in everyday language, which is actually closer to a "hypothesis" if you were using scientific terminology.
